Team History

Team Jaywatch started in 2010 as BVD Skidmark. Their first race was Goin' for Broken where they placed in the middle of the pack. Due to rotating team members, they spawned a sister team: JudgeBusters, who also races a slower, and similarly unreliable E30.

Car

Team Jaywatch drives a 1986 325es with a M30 engine. Found in Oakland for a tidy sum of exactly 500 dollars, the flood recovery car was hauled to a parking lot and stripped down. This unearthed a receipt for a Cheesy Gordita Crunch, earning its forever name, Cheesy.

It started off grey and crash test dummy-themed in the early days, and later gained the yellow paint and lusty Baywatch-themed assemblage. As people rotated in and out of the team, various engineering and design decisions took place, among them "Haphazardly Insert a Larger Motor Into It, The Judges Will Like That Surely" and "Cut Back Half Off Car. Weight Savings!". When not spinning in entrances to straightaways, Cheesy enjoys long walks on the beach and differentials.
